Once a sure fire 20+ goal scorer for the Calgary Flames, it appears head coach Darryl Sutter has had it with Sean Monahan. For a second straight game, the former 6th overall draft pick will be a healthy scratch.

Monahan had seven straight seasons where he scored at least 20 goals, and put up 34 in 2018-19. Since then, it's been a steady decline for the 27-year-old, and he has just eight in 63 games this season.

Monahan has one season left on his current contract after this one, at a cap hit of $6.375 million. He also gets to submit a 10-team no-trade list.
