There is good news and bad news for Brett Howden after the Vegas Golden Knights' forward had to be stretchered out of the arena during a game against the Nashville Predators on Thursday. According to Vegas coach Peter DeBoer, Howden has been released from hospital. He is sore, but nothing was broken in the incident, which is pretty amazing considering the circumstances. That said, DeBoer told members o the media that he won't be back in the lineup any time soon.

Howden was hurt after going into the boards head first following a check from Filip Forsberg. He was motionless on the ice for some time before finally being moved.

Meanwhile DeBoer was asked about the prospect of Max Pacioretty coming back to the lineup. Pacioretty hasn't played since March 11th after suffering an undisclosed injury. DeBoer said Pacioretty had a setback at practice recently and he "is not available in the near future." That's a huge blow for Vegas as the team fights to get into a playoff spot with very little of the regular season left.
