According to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has been traded to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for a conditional second-round pick.

Fleury, 37, was playing in his first season with the Chicago Blackhawks after being acquired by them this past summer. Unfortunately, things didn't work out how he or the team had envisioned, and as a result there was plenty of speculation he would be moved ahead of the deadline. In 45 games this season he owns a 2.95 goals against average (GAA) along with a .908 save percentage (SV%).

Despite his underwhelming numbers this season, Fleury still remains one of the better goalies in the entire NHL. Just last season, he was able to win his first ever Vezina Trophy after compiling a spectacular 1.98 GAA along with a .928 SV%. With the struggles the Wild have had in net lately, this was a huge pickup by general manager Bill Guerin, and one that could make this team a serious threat come the playoffs.
