According to ESPN's Kevin Weekes, the Arizona Coyotes have acquired Bryan Little's contract from the Winnipeg Jets. TSN's Darren Dreger adds that the Coyotes will also receive unsigned prospect Nathan Smith, while Winnipeg gets a fourth round pick.

Little, 34, hasn't played since early in the 2019-20 season when he suffered a head injury. Since then, Little has been on long-term injured reserve. He has two more years remaining on his contract with an AAV of $5.29 million.

As for Nathan Smith, he wasn't going to sign with the Winnipeg Jets, who took him with the 91st overall pick in 2018. He's spent the last three seasons in the NCAA with Minnesota State University - Mankato. In 34 games this season, Smith has 49 points (18 G, 31 A), 39 penalty minutes, and is a +26.
