After recently playing his 1000th game as a member of the Philadelphia Flyers, the Claude Giroux area in that city is over. Giroux has been traded to the Florida Panthers. He's also not alone.

According to reports, Giroux, Connor Bunnaman, German Rubtsov, and a fifth round pick in 2024 have been sent to the Panthers. The return is prospect Owen Tippett, a 2024 1st round pick, and a 2023 3rd round pick. The Flyers are retaining 50 percent of Giroux's salary

Giroux had spent his entire career with Philadelphia after being drafted in the first round (22nd overall) in 2006.

Tippett was a 10th overall pick of the Panthers in 2017. He's played 94 games in the NHL so far, scoring 14 goals and 33 points.
