According to Scott Wheeler of The Athletic, goaltender Ève Gascon will make her QMJHL debut with the Gatineau Olympiques on Saturday against the Rimouski Oceanic.

"Ève Gascon will make her QMJHL debut in net for the Gatineau Olympiques on Saturday, following in the footsteps of Manon Rhéaume and Charline Labonté to become the third woman to appear in a CHL game," Wheeler said in a tweet.

Gascon will become only the third woman to play in the CHL after Manon Rhéaume and Charline Labonté did so in 1991-92 and 1999-2001 respectively.

The 18-year-old was called up to Gatineau last week after playing 16 games with the Saint-Laurent Patriotes (QCHL) where she had a record of 10-5-0 with a 2.81 GAA, and an .899 save percentage.

The Terrebonne (Quebec) native is currently committed to playing with the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs in the NCAA starting this fall. Normally, when a player steps onto the ice and plays a game in the CHL, they lose their eligibility to play in the NCAA, but that likely won't be the case with Gascon.
