Whopping 23 players hit the NHL waiver wire today including former top-15 pick

On Saturday afternoon, 23 players from eight different NHL teams were cut from their teams and placed on waivers.

At this time of the year, teams are starting to trim their rosters. Some of the players are sent back to their junior teams, and others will report to the AHL training camp.
However, many of the players going down to the AHL need to go through waivers, where all 32 NHL organizations have a 24-hour window to claim the player for free.
Yesterday, 16 players were placed on waivers, but they all cleared.
Today, a total of 23 players are available on the waiver wire. Here's the official list:
