The Minnesota Wild recently parted ways with assistant GM Chris O'Hearn, and now reports have surfaced that there have been investigations into Wild executives.

Wild Part Ways With Assistant GM in Mysterious Fashion

The Minnesota Wild have had a tumultuous season, first firing their Head Coach and now relieving Assistant GM Chris O'Hearn from his duties. The news was broken by Wild reporter Michael Russo, however, only sparing details were provided in the justification for his termination.

Now, it has been reported by Joe Smith at the Athletic that there have been multiple investigations into Minnesota Wild executives that have led to the release of O'Hearn.

Without the details of why O'Hearn was let go, it is hard to know what truly happened and if it was because of misconduct or not. However, with how close O'Hearn was to GM Bill Guerin, something about the firing seems off.

The Wild should learn from the shortfalls of the Chicago Blackhawks and their recent handling of Corey Perry. While they did take action, the tight-lipped nature of the saga certainly contributed to the swell of rumours online about Perry's actions.
