Connor Reacts to Empty Seats in Winnipeg

This year marks Kyle Connor's seventh season in Winnipeg. He affirmed that he saw almost no empty seats in the first five years, ranking Winnipeg among the most passionate fanbases.

But things took a drastic turn this year.

There were more than 2,000 empty seats for the home opener, and even more during Tuesday's game against Los Angeles.

"It was a little surprising, to be honest. In the first game, I didn't notice it right away. Ehlers and I (on Tuesday) had a conversation sitting on the bench. We looked around and were a bit taken aback. You'd like to see that support It's disappointing, for sure."

The organization doesn't seem to think there's something wrong with their team, and they hope that things will turn around.

"Winnipeg is known for its extremely passionate fans. We use that to our advantage. Playing at home, I don't know what our record is since we've been here, but it's pretty good."
