The NHL's 2022 All-Star Skills Competition will include the game's brightest young stars. In a video posted on Twitter on Saturday, Anaheim Ducks rookie forward Trevor Zegras confirmed that the National Hockey League has invited him to participate in this year's Breakaway Challenge, which is returning for the first time since 2016.

"Hey guys, it's Trevor Zegras. I got a call from the league, I'm going to be doing the Breakaway Challenge at the All-Star Game. I'm honoured to be joining Troy and Gibby. It's gonna be a fun weekend. See you guys in Vegas," Zegras said.

As Zegras mentions, he'll be the third Duck participating at the NHL's All-Star weekend. John Gibson was named to the Pacific Division team as Anaheim's representative, while Troy Terry was selected by the fans as the Last Man In for the division.

The 2022 NHL All-Star Skills Competition will take place Feb. 4 at 7:30 pm ET, while the three-on-three tournament is scheduled for the next day starting at 3 pm ET.
