The Carolina Hurricanes had a rare off night Thursday, losing 6-0 to the Columbus Blue Jackets. In the midst of it all, Canes defenceman Tony DeAngelo would get kicked out of the game late in the third period for barking at the officials for what he felt was a missed call. Here's the play that DeAngelo was upset about.
Following the game, DeAngelo commented on getting tossed, and wasn't happy about it.
"I didn't really say that much to him, but i guess that's what goes on nowadays — you can't say anything without people getting upset."
DeAngelo has been suspended before for interactions with officials. This was back in 2017 when he played for the Arizona Coyotes. He received three games for this.
