It was the lone game at the 2022 World Juniors on Tuesday following the United States forfeiting due to COVID-19 and it was as lopsided as everyone could have predicted.

Canada walked away with a massive 11-2 win over the Austrians and it was 2023 projected first overall pick Connor Bedard who stole the show.

Bedard, who's only 16, scored four goals on Tuesday night which either tied or set a number of records so let's take a look at it.

- First Canadian 16-year-old to score a hat trick at the World Juniors since Wayne Gretzky in 1977.

- Youngest player in World Juniors history to score four goals in a single game.

- Becomes only the sixth player in Canadian World Junior history to score four goals in a single game joining Mario Lemieux (1983), Simon Gagne (1999), Brayden Schenn (2010), Taylor Raddysh (2016) and Maxime Comtois (2018).

-Is now tied for second in Canadian World Junior history for points as a 16 year old at the tournament with 5. (Tied with Sidney Crosby).

With the win, Canada moves into a tie for first place in Group A with Finland, both have a 2-0-0-0 record. They'll be back in action on Wednesday night when they take on Germany at 7pm ET on TSN.
