Jonathan Drouin doesn't feel comfortable facing Boston on Saturday night

The Montreal Canadiens will host their long-time rivals, the Boston Bruins, on Saturday night at likely an empty Bell Centre for the second game in a row.

Boston is in the midst of a COVID-19 outbreak with seven of their players in the NHL's protocol as of last night. Those players are, Patrice Bergeron, Anton Blidh, Trent Frederic, Brad Marchand, Craig Smith, Oskar Steen, and Jeremy Swayman.

Following Montreal's shootout win over the Philadelphia Flyers, Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin shared that he doesn't feel too comfortable playing against the Bruins due to their COVID outbreak.

"I'm not really comfortable playing against a team that has so many cases of Covid," Drouin said. "There are currently seven cases, but there could be three more tomorrow."

He added, "I don't feel comfortable," Drouin said. "This is not what we were told with the vaccines for this year. I know things are changing. Like I said, it's not ideal."

Drouin isn't the first player to speak out about feeling not comfortable playing under the league's current conditions due to COVID-19. Yesterday, Nashville Predators forward Nick Cousins tweeted that the NHL should be shutting down until after Christmas. Not long after that tweet, Cousins tested positive for COVID-19 and was placed in the league's protocol.

"It will be up to the NHL to decide if we continue or if we stop," Drouin said. "But I would say it's not really ideal."
