Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby played in just his second game of the season Sunday night after first dealing with an injury and now coming back from COVID protocol. The night did not go as planned and it was clear that Crosby was frustrated.

The Washington Capitals ended up downing the Pens 6-1 in a night Crosby and his teammates would likely rather forget as quickly as possible. In the third period, with the Caps leading 4-1, frustration was evidently setting in as Crosby grabbed rookie defenceman Martin Fehervary and whipped him into the end boards hard. There was no call on the play. Check it out:

Not quite sure I understand why there wasn't at least a minor penalty on the play. It wasn't Crosby's first incident of the night either. Earlier in the game, Crosby started crosschecking Evgeny Kuznetsov near the benches. Tom Wilson came over and grabbed him to get him away from Kuznetsov. Crosby would start yelling at Wilson and continued to do so as the referee escorted him away to the penalty box.
