Reigning Vezina Trophy winner Marc-Andre Fleury has certainly not gotten off to the type or start that he would have liked in Chicago, but according to NHL Insider Chris Johnston, if the Hawks can't right the ship, and fast, the soon-to-be 37-year-old could find himself on the move.

There are several teams who could benefit from Fleury's services, but as Johnston points out, the Edmonton Oilers are likely at the top of that list.

«I think it's reasonable to link Marc-Andre Fleury to Edmonton," Johnston said on Wednesday. "I think that they understand what this season means. I see them trading for a D before the deadline and I see them getting another goaltender and that goaltender might be the reigning Vezina Trophy winner.»

The Oilers are owners of a 9-2-0 record and currently sit in 3rd overall in the standings, but are hanging their hopes on Mikko Koskinen and Stuart Skinner between the pipes with veteran Mike Smith sidelined due to injury.

Fleury would provide the Oilers with a wealth of playoff and championship experience, what with his name being etched into the Stanley Cup on three separate occasions. The Sorel, Quebec native won the Cup with the Penguins in 2009, 2016 and 2017.
