Scott Wedgewood's second stint with the New Jersey Devils is over. According to Chris Johnston of TSN, Wedgewood has been claimed off waivers by his former club, the Arizona Coyotes.

The news of claiming Wedgewood comes roughly a week after the Coyotes announced that Carter Hutton would miss two-to-four weeks with a lower-body injury. Until Hutton gets back, Wedgewood and Karel Vejmelka will form the Coyotes' goaltending tandem.

The 29-year-old was originally drafted by the Devils in 2010, and then roughly a month into the 2017-18 season, he was dealt from New Jersey to Arizona, before being traded to Los Angeles at the deadline for Darcy Kuemper.

During Wedgewood's ten-year professional career, he's spent time with five different organizations, New Jersey (two stints), Arizona (on his second stint), Los Angeles, Buffalo, and Tampa Bay. In 43 career NHL games between New Jersey and Arizona, the Brampton, Ontario native has a record of 10-20-9, with a 3.08 G.A.A., a .900 save percentage, and four shutouts.
