After the fallout from the Blackhawks president of hockey operations and general manager Stan Bowman leaving the organization, a few players on the team commented on the matter. Bowman resigned after investigators released their findings on what the team did to handle the sexual assault allegations against former video coach Brad Aldrich.

One of the team's star forwards, Alex DeBrincat, thinks that it was probably for the best that Bowman is out of the organization.

«Probably a change that needed to happen. I get it. With everything that happened, it's probably a good thing we parted ways,» DeBrincat said Wednesday.

Along with this Debrincat thinks that the team needs to come together after the terrible treatment of a former player.

«It's tough to see people treated like that,» DeBrincat stated.

DeBrincat also believed that the players shouldn't move on from it, but learn from it after hearing the disturbing story.

"It was tough to read. Hearing the story is pretty disturbing,» DeBrincat explained. «(We) can not move on from it, but learn from it and come together as a team and make sure that doesn't happen again."

Of course if anyone has read the story involving Aldrich it is very disturbing, and it surely surprises a ton of fans and players that something like this would happen in the NHL. The NHL has already fined the Blackhawks as punishment, but it remains to be seen if any other penalties will be dealt out.
