One day after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract with Finnish club, Ilves, Detroit Red Wings prospect Albin Grewe has signed with Mora IK in Sweden's second division, HockeyAllsvenskan.

"We were a bit thin in the squad and we knew that when we went into the season. Now we got the opportunity to bring in a very interesting player. I love his intensity and speed and that is probably also what he lived on. At the same time, both he and we feel that there is more hockey in Albin than he has had to show in Ilves. He wants a fresh start and for us he fits perfectly into the team," says coach Johan Hedberg.

According to Mora IK's press release, the contract will be for two years (2021-22 and 2022-23). Grewe joined the team in Södertälje on Wednesday and is expected to make his Mora IK debut on Friday night when they host Almtuna.

Grewe, 20, played in four games for Ilves this season, putting up no points, two penalty minutes, and was a +/-0.
