According to Darren Dreger of TSN, the Arizona Coyotes have signed forward Alex Galchenyuk to a one-year contract worth $750,000. Galchenyuk was a free agent for the majority of the off-season, but signed a professional tryout contract with the Coyotes on September 21st.

This won't be the first stint for Galchenyuk in Arizona, he played with them during the 2018-19 season following a trade from the Montreal Canadiens which saw Max Domi go to the Habs.

Galchenyuk, 27, was selected in the first round, third overall by the Canadiens in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He's spent parts of nine seasons in the NHL with Montreal, Arizona, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Ottawa, and Toronto. In 583 career games, the Milwaukee, Wisconsin native has 333 points (140 G, 193 A), 221 penalty minutes, and is a -66.
