Over the weekend, Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Robin Lehner made some very serious accusations against his former team, the Buffalo Sabres and their handling of the Jack Eichel situation and also appeared to bring up Philadelphia Flyers head coach Alain Vigneault in relation to pushing various medications to players without a prescription.

On Monday, Vigneault finally responded to the claims, denying any involvement in providing pills to players without a prescription.

Shortly thereafter, Lehner, who confirmed that he had very positive talks with the NHLPA on Sunday, did his best to clarify the comments made against Vigneault.

Apparently, Lehner's mention of Vigneault had nothing to do with him pushing Benzodiazepines and Ambien to his players, but was more about Vigneault's general treatment of his players.

What we can deduce from this is that Lehner's mention of the prescription medications was likely a claim made against his former team, the Buffalo Sabres.

At this point, these are merely allegations, as they have not yet been proven - though, as TSN's Rick Westhead had pointed out, this is not the first time that the NHL's methods of medicating players have been questioned.
