The Montreal Canadiens announced their training camp roster and schedule late on Tuesday night. The roster includes 70 players in total, 40 forwards, 23 defencemen, and seven goaltenders.

Tuesday also marked the conclusion of the Canadiens' rookie camp. 16 of the players that were participating in rookie camp have been invited to the main camp. Those players are, Tory Dello, Cedric Desruisseaux, Justin Ducharme, Gianni Fairbrother, Alexis Gravel, Kaiden Guhle, Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Cam Hillis, Jan Mysak, Mattias Norlinder, Joshua Roy, Xavier Simoneau, Daniil Sobolev, Joe Vrbetic, Arber Xhekaj and Jesse Ylönen.

As was expected, all of Montreal's additions this off-season will be at camp including David Savard, Christian Dvorak, Mike Hoffman, Cedric Paquette, and Mathieu Perreault.

Despite the fact he will miss the entire season due to multiple injuries sustained throughout the 2020-21 season, captain Shea Weber is listed on the Canadiens camp roster.

Montreal's training camp will get underway tomorrow with physicals and medical exams. On-ice practices will begin on Thursday morning as the 70 players will be split into three groups: Red, White, and C.

Their first game action will come on Saturday night when they travel to Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs.
