The Ottawa Senators announced on Saturday that they've re-signed restricted free agent forward Logan Brown to a one-year, two-way contract worth $750,000 at the NHL level, and $100,000 at the AHL level.

"Logan is among the most talented prospects in our organization," said Senators general manager Pierre Dorion. "He possesses many of the tools that could ultimately help him find success in the NHL. We're hopeful that a productive summer translates into a good training camp for him here beginning next week."

Less than two weeks ago, there were rumours that the Senators were potentially looking to move on from Logan Brown. On September 6th, TSN's Shawn Simpson said, "Lots of chatter that Logan Brown will be moved. One thing for sure, I'm told he's not coming to Ottawa, and will go play in Sweden if he's not moved. That wouldn't be a bad move, and if I'm the Sens I hold his rights, unless a deal is good."

Brown, 23, was selected by Ottawa in the first round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He spent the majority of the 2020-21 season with the Senators' AHL affiliate in Belleville, while only appearing in one game with the Ottawa.
