San Jose Sharks star forward Tomas Hertl is apparently among many Sharks players that are unhappy with how the team is handling the Evander Kane situation. Hertl is an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season, and it seems that he may not want to return to a team with a somewhat broken culture.

The Athletic's Kevin Kurz recently wrote in an article about Hertl, that the player just wasn't as happy as he usually is. Typically Hertl has the biggest grin on the ice, but that grin wasn't nearly as big last season. Kurz also said that nearly every Sharks player is upset over the team's inability to handle Kane's situation, and Hertl is just one of many players who may want out.

Hertl had 43 points (19 goals, 24 assists) in 50 games last season, which was second to just Evander Kane on the team. The 27-year-old is entering the final year of his four-year, $22.5 million deal he signed on July 2, 2018, and he would leave a huge hole in the lineup if the Sharks were to lose him.
