NHL insider David Pagnotta revealed today that the St. Louis Blues are open to trading star forward Jordan Kyrou.

The St. Louis Blues are in a transitionary period as they organization looks to retool quickly.

The team did have some hopes of being competitive this year, but they were not fully committed to that, and the results have spoken for themselves.

Through 56 games, the Blues sit in 6th place in the Central Division with 55 points, and they are eight points back of the Vancouver Canucks for the final playoff spot in the Western conference.

As a result, the team will very likely be sellers at the trade deadline.

In fact, the team has already been making substantial moves. last month, veteran defenseman Scott Perunovich was traded to the New York Rangers.

Around the same time, the team made a shocking move when they terminated the contract of two-time Stanley Cup champion .

That being said, the team is not yet done making moves.

According to NHL insider David Pagnotta, one player Blues general manager Doug Armstrong is open to moving is star forward Jordan Kyrou.

Kyrou has 23 goals and 44 points this season. In his career, he has played in 390 games for the Blues, recording 137 goals and 306 points.

At just 26 years old, he does still fit the team's competitive window, so Armstrong will surely have to be blown away by an amazing offer in order to move him.

Regardless of what comes next, the next few weeks should be incredibly exciting for the Blues as well as many other teams around the NHL as the trade deadline approaches.
