Team USA talked a lot before their Championship Game matchup against Canada, and now, one of the winning stars has roasted his opponents after the win.

The Four Nations Face Off had the entire sporting world talking, and with the highly anticipated rematch between Canada and the United States on Thursday, tensions and excitement were high for what was the most anticipated matchup in recent hockey memory.

There was plenty of talk in the leadup to the game, but ultimately Canada proved to be the best hockey nation in the world at the end, with a dramatic OT winner from Connor McDavid sealing their fate and sending the entire country of Canada into a frenzy.

Unsurprisingly, Team Canada kept plenty of receipts from the trash talking leading up to the Finale, with Brandon Hagel firing a shot back at Matthew Tkachuk and Team USA on social media after the victory.

This was in reference to a shot fired by Tkachuk a few days ago in which he said 'I guess they don't like each other much if they don't have any group chats', and clearly Hagel remembered, showing off the Champions group chat as Team Canada continued to celebrate their victory.

While Hagel didn't produce much in the 3-2 overtime victory, he was one of Canada's most consistent forwards throughout the tournament, with his line alongside Brayden Point and Anthony Cirrelli showing consistency and chemistry throughout.

Now, the Tampa Bay Lightning star gets to celebrate as a Champion, and with the 2026 Olympic Games right around the corner, he'll likely take up his spot on that team as well as Canada look to cement their place atop the hockey world on the biggest possible stage in Milan.
