The Columbus Blue Jackets are getting ready for an emotional season opener, and Johnny Gaudreau's wife has shared a beautiful moment with Johnny's former teammate.

This entire off-season has been full of emotion for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and this Tuesday ahead of their home opener, they are getting ready to once again celebrate the life of Johnny Gaudreau. Ahead of their regular season opener on the road, the partner of Erik Gudbranson posted a photo on Instagram of his two young daughters, rocking a custom made No. 13 sweater, honouring the late Johnny Hockey.

Johnny's wife Meredith would then go on to repost the photo, sharing the love that Johnny's teammates and their families had for him.

Love these little guys.

This is another great example of how beloved Johnny was by his teammates, front offices and fans, with Gudbranson serving as a close teammate not only with the Blue Jackets, but also Johnny's final year in Calgary. Since his tragic passing, so many players around the league have shared their love for Johnny, with Meredith being quite open about sharing tributes for him on her social media, with another popping up as she shouted out Flames goaltender Dustin Wolf, who rocked a Gaudreau tribute on his helmet for this season.

Throughout this whole process, Meredith has shown incredible strength to continue persevering and honouring her late husband, but as the season starts, it's going to get harder and harder. With so much love for Johnny throughout the league, hopefully it brings some comfort to an incredible family, and with the support of Gudbranson, the Blue Jackets and the entire NHL, he will be honoured forever as a true icon in the NHL, especially in Columbus and Calgary.
