According to a new development, it looks like the Vegas Golden Knights are trying to take over the territory of the Arizona Coyotes.

It has been a tough summer for the Arizona Coyotes fans, who had to say goodbye to their team as they moved to Utah. Later, Alex Meruelo, their last hope of bringing back an NHL team to Arizona, withdrew his interest in acquiring another team.
With the Coyotes leaving and likely not coming back any time soon, another market is trying to tap into the Coyotes' territory: the Vegas Golden Knights.
It's nearly a five-hour drive between Tempe and Vegas, and it looks like the Golden Knights are doing all they can to attract the Coyotes' fanbase.
Since they came in the league in 2017, the franchise has built something big within the community. They notably won the Stanley Cup in 2023, cementing their place among the top teams in the NHL.
Now, the team announced that in addition to the watch parties and hockey clinics they are holding all over Arizona, fans from Phoenix and Tucson will be able to watch their games on TV.
Here's what the Golden Knights' President and CEO Kerry Bubolz said about their new offer for the people in Arizona:
"We are thrilled to expand the realm of fans who can watch our local broadcast and appreciate our partners at Scripps Sports for helping make this a reality. Having our games available for free over the air, or through KnightTime+, is a win for hockey fans in Arizona."
"As the intense fandom around hockey grows, we know how important it is for the Vegas Golden Knights to reach their expanding fanbase on every device and platform. These new Scripps Sports-produced local broadcasts, combined with Knight Time+, will make sure that fans in the Phoenix and Tucson markets never have to miss a game." Considering that it's unlikely to see the NHL return to Arizona in the near future, it wouldn't be surprising to see many people who used to root for the Coyotes getting on the side of the Golden Knights.
