The Toronto Maple Leafs have high hopes for Fraser Minten moving forward, but the talented prospect will now miss some time after sustaining a major injury.

Training camp across the NHL is finally here, and for the Toronto Maple Leafs, it's started off in very tough fashion, with the team revealing that not one, not two but three young players would be missing the start of camp due to injury.
One of the more unfortunate of those is prospect Fraser Minten, who went down with an ankle injury following this hit from Montreal Canadiens prospect David Reinbacher, with the injury seemingly much more severe than first expected.
It's unclear how long Minten will be missing, but according to David Alter on X, the timeline is expected to be weeks, not months, which is a massive positive for the young prospect that was expected to push for a spot on the roster to start the 2024/25 season.
As of right now, the Maple Leafs top-six appears to be set, but there's plenty of chances for young names to make a push for the bottom-six in training camp, so hopefully Minten can return and put his best foot forward as he looks to push for a permanent NHL spot this season.
