Madeline Gaudreau, who spent 14 years as wife and partner of Matthew Gaudreau recently killed by alleged drunk driver, posts heart-wrenching social media message

The hockey world continues to react to the deaths of brothers Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau with hundreds of messages of condolences pouring in for the Gaudreau family. None of those messages share the sorrow or tragedy as one from Matthew Gaudreau's wife Madeline.
Madeline is pregnant with their first child amid Matthew's sudden death. She is, understandably, still trying to come to terms with life without her husband and the father of their baby. Madeline took to her social media to share a picture of herself and Matthew, with a heart-wrenching message.
"I want you to come back home. Miss you so much and love you so much, baby."
Adding even more senselessness to an already senseless tragedy, the alleged drunk driver charged in the death of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau worked at a rehab centre. The Gaudenzia Addiction Treatment and Recovery Centers have placed Sean Higgins on leave.
"We received the heartbreaking news regarding the tragic crash that took the lives of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, along with charges brought against Sean Higgins. Mr. Higgins, an employee of Gaudenzia, was immediately placed on leave.

We extend our sympathies to the Gaudreau family during this incredibly difficult time."
Tributes have been set up in several locations for Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, including in Calgary where Johnny spent the first years of his NHL career. The brothers were home in the New jersey area to celebrate their sister's wedding. The event was called off following the tragic news. Johnny Gaudreau's wife recently shared a message on social media saying she is the luckiest person in the world for getting to spend the time she did with her husband.
