An employee of the Florida Panthers posted a picture of the new center ice logo on social media and was immediately and harshly fired by the team.

FoxSports640's Andy Slater recently reported that the Florida Panthers have dismissed an employee after the team's new center ice logo was leaked. This seems a little bit harsh considering it was likely all accidental in nature and possibly an employee who was very excited and proud to showcase the fresh sheet of ice.
David R, the host of the FLA Cats Hockey Podcast, shared a photo of the new logo on X. However, it's still unknown whether he took the original photo and is said employee who was fired or was merely reposting it.
Some fans have criticized the Panthers for what they see as an overreaction, arguing that firing someone over a potential mistake might be unnecessary.
Interestingly, the Panthers aren't the only team updating their center ice logos this season, as both the Ottawa Senators and Vancouver Canucks have also made changes.
Many hope the Panthers reconsider their decision and offer the employee a second chance, as it could reflect poorly on a team that recently celebrated a Stanley Cup victory. This incident brings to mind past controversies involving the team, such as when head coach Gerard Gallant was unceremoniously fired while on the team bus and left on the side of the road with his luggage.
