Following Ryan Johansen's contract termination by the Philadelphia Flyers, it appears that he is ready to fight this matter in court, in the form of a grievance.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has broken the news on X that Ryan Johansen's agent, Kurt Overhardt, has stated that the matter will be going to grievance and that it could be quite the lengthy process.
KO Sports, Inc is the agency that Kurt Overhardt oversees as CEO, as well as being its founder. Kurt states that Ryan Johansen has a severe hockey injury and that he will require surgery, which supposedly has already been scheduled. Kurt also states that Ryan has been nothing but good to the Flyers and has been doing things in good faith since he was traded to the team.
Kurt Overhardt refers to the termination of Ryan Johansen's contract as "disappointing". He also states that he will do whatever it takes to defend the rights of Johansen. You can see his full statement below.
