This afternoon a new interview conducted with Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar has revealed an injury recovery timeline for captain Gabriel Landeskog.

The Colorado Avalanche have been without their captain Gabriel Landeskog for a couple of seasons now. He first suffered a knee injury and then in his ramp-up to return he once again re-injured his knee. This led to a knee cartilage transplant in May of 2023.
Since the surgery Gabriel Landeskog has mostly remained off the map. He returned for one game as a spectator last season. Now a new report has confirmed when we might see Gabriel Landeskog return in uniform.

Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar reveals recovery timeline for Gabriel Landeskog

In an interview with NHL.com's Tom Gulitti head coach of the Avalanche Jared Bednar spoke about Gabriel Landeskog. In his response, he revealed that the Avalanche are expecting a return from Gabriel Landskog early in the 2024-25 NHL season.
"He's trying to make a return here sometime near the start of the season, and if that goes well, it would be a really big boost for us," head coach Jared Bednar said Saturday, according to NHL.com's Tom Gulitti. "So, that's something we're all a little anxious about, but really excited about as well."

While Jared Bednar is excited to have his captain back with the team he also said they are not going to be rushing him back into action anytime soon. Gabriel Landeskog will be the one to determine if and when he is ready.
"It's been a long time now, so there's no rush," the bench boss said. "It's just all with what he's feeling comfortable with. Just what he's been able to do both in the gym with his training off the ice and what he's been able to do on the ice, we're certainly optimistic that he'll be able to come back."

Once the NHL season gets under way there will likely be even more updates regarding Gabriel Landeskog and his health. As those updates are made we will pass them along to you.
