The Court of Arbitration for Sport ruling has determined that Olympian Jordan Chiles of the USA will not get her bronze medal restored after it was stripped of her.

USA Gymnastics announced on Monday that its appeal to restore gymnast Jordan Chiles' bronze medal has been turned down after she had it stripped away following a four second too late controversy.
The federation said that even when new conclusive evidence is presented, they are unable to overturn a decision.
USA Gymnastics was extremely frustrated by this and made an announcement that shows they will not be giving up in this fight that easily.
"We are deeply disappointed by the notification and will continue to pursue every possible avenue and appeal process, including to the Swiss Federal Tribunal, to ensure the just score, placement and medal award for Jordan," USA Gymnastics said.
People are wondering why the judges eventually decided to change their mind and overturn the protest that was made by Jordan Chiles' coach, and that's because the Romanian Gymnastics Federation realized that the appeal by the US was submitted four seconds past the deadline and brought the issue up to the CAS, which ultimately was ruled in favor of the Romanians.
Jordan Chiles was already in the USA celebrating her medal with her family and friends when she became aware that she had to mail back the medal to France. She had to take a break from social media as the toll it took on her mental health was just simply unbearable.
We are all wishing Jordan Chiles better days ahead and here's hoping she will return at the next Olympic Games stronger and hungrier than ever, and that she will be able to keep any future medals she wins.
