A man who goes by the name of Norme on YouTube has been awake for 12 straight days trying to break the world record, and he's inching closer to death.

YouTuber Norme has been awake for over 250 hours right now on livestream and viewers are fearing for his life. He wants to break the all-time world record for longest amount of time without sleep.
His brother Don has been appearing in the streams on and off, and has had to force him to stay awake as it's been getting very hard for him to do so lately. Don has been seen splashing his brother in the face with water and even prohibiting him from sitting or lying down, by forcing him to stay standing. That caused a big problem as Norme recently fell face first to the ground as he almost fell asleep while standing.
Norme's life is now at risk as he's been seen recently hallucinating, almost fainting and even mumbling his words and making absolutely no sense when he talks.
Many viewers are now leaving comments on the livestream's chat demanding that this challenge stop as Norme's health is severely deteriorating. Many are also attempting to figure out where he is currently staying as they want to send some doctors over to check on him. At this very moment, the livestream is still ongoing and he has just over 10 hours or so remaining to break the record.
"GUYS WE NEED TO STOP NORME FROM THIS CHALLENGE BUT NOT BY HARASSING HIM AND HIS FAMILY."

"Guys, please let him sleep it's taking a toll on his health."

The sad thing about all of this is that Norme won't even have his name put into the Guinness Book of World Records if he completes the feat, because that organization doesn't even monitor this record anymore as it's gotten too dangerous for the person's health and could lead to death.
Randy Gardner currently holds the record for no sleep at just over 264 hours.
"I slept just over 14 hours. I remember when I woke up, I was groggy, but not any groggier than a normal person," he told NPR.

Randy Gardner admits that while he had no symptoms at first, he had decades of insomnia. It really messed up with his sleep pattern long-term. Here's hoping the same doesn't happen to Norme down the road.
