Game four of the Stanley Cup Finals in Edmonton got intense, but it appears as though no suspensions will come out of the scuffle between superstar players.

The Edmonton Oilers were on the brink of elimination, but after an offensive outburst, they've kept themselves alive, and in the process, the series spiced up quite a bit. After another knee-on-knee hit early in the game, things got spicy later in the game, with Matthew Tkachuk and Connor McDavid coming together as No. 19 tried to inspire his team.

Ultimately, it didn't make any difference in the game as Florida would go on to lose 8-1, but after punching the Oilers captain, many believed a suspension was on the way for Tkachuk. Now, with the 5pm deadline coming and going, we have confirmation that there will be no further discipline for Matthew Tkachuk.

Now that 5 pm EST has passed, it is official that Matthew Tkachuk will NOT be receiving any supplementary discipline for jumping a defenseless Connor McDavid

After Leon Draisaitl escaped suspension following a hit in game two, it's safe to say that this was the right call, and now the series shifts back to game five in Florida, and if the Edmonton Oilers can pick up another victory, the series is well and truly on.
