Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are both in the tail end of their deals with the Edmonton Oilers, but signs point towards both of them staying in Alberta.

They will both, alongside Evan Bouchard, all be commanding massive salaries, but with the salary cap quickly rising, to an estimated $92 million in 2025-26, and as much as $100M by 2027-28, these contracts will be doable for Edmonton.

Per top NHL insider Frank Seravalli, contract extensions for these three key players all already have framework; Connor McDavid will make NHL history in the range of $16 million annually, Leon Draisaitl won't be far behind and $14 million, and Evan Bouchard will surpass Darnell Nurse as Edmonton's highest paid defenseman in the range of $10 million.

Frank Seravalli dropped a bomb recently, predicting the Edmonton Oilers' "big three" will have $40 million invested into them by the team. He predicts that Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Evan Bouchard will all get max-term deals, worth the following:

McDavid: $16 Million AAV
Draisaitl: $14 Million AAV
Bouchard: $10 Million AAV

Seravalli also explained he believes the salary cap will be up to about $100 Million within two seasons, giving the Oilers the flexibility to do this for all three players.

This new generation of the Edmonton Oilers, with a cup finals appearance under their belt, may be unstoppable.
