After the Edmonton Oilers advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals, former Toronto Maple Leaf Zach Hyman had some interesting comments for his former team.

On Sunday night, the Edmonton Oilers clinched their first trip to the Stanley Cup Finals since 2006, and it's safe to say that the city is ready to help this team hoist the Cup.
In the locker room when Hyman could finally hear the reporters, he was asked an intriguing question, with one reporter revealing Senators fans would cheer for the Oilers, then asking Hyman what he thinks of the country of Canada cheering for him.
"I don't know if Toronto is cheering for us." 😅

Much has been made of the Oilers being 'Canada's team' in the past few weeks, but given the rivalries that exist between teams and fans, that may not be the case, with many fan bases having reasons not to cheer for Edmonton. Still, they now have the chance to clinch their first Cup since way back in 1990, but will now face the daunting task of taking down the red-hot Florida Panthers.
Regardless of what happens, the Oilers may have some support in Canada, but like Zach Hyman says, the Maple Leafs fans won't be among that group, and given their rivalry with Calgary, there will be plenty of support in Canada for the Florida Panthers.
