After a tough loss in game six of the Western Conference Finals, Elliotte Friedman predicted that Dallas Stars forward Joe Pavelski has played his last game in the NHL.

The Dallas Stars put up a forbiddable fight throughout this year's Stanley Cup playoffs. Even at 39 years old, veteran forward Joe Pavelski successfully pulled in his 74th career NHL playoff goal in game five of their series against the Colorado Avalanche.
"BIG GOAL FOR JOE PAVELSKI!!!
That's his 74th Career Playoff goal!
1-0

Pavelski's dreams of getting the Stanley Cup this year, however, were put to an end. The Edmonton Oilers took down the Dallas Stars 2-1 in game six of the Western Conference finals, thus advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since
"The #Oilers are Western Conference Champions as they punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final with 2-1 victory in Game 6 over Stars. @paigymartin has your summary!"
After the end of the game, Canadian sports journalist Elliotte Friedman made a concerning prediction about Joe Pavelski's future with the Dallas Stars. He expressed his belief that Joe Pavelski's career in the NHL is likely over.
"Friedman on NHLN on Pavelski: «I think it probably will be (his last game), but I don't want it to be. I think the guy is a Hall of Famer.» #SJSharks"
Joe Pavelski had an impressive season for his age, earning 27 goals and 67 points in 82 games. Unfortunately, many fans agree that this is not enough to guarantee him another chance at the biggest prize in the league.
With no guarantee on a one-year contract, it is hard to disagree with the masses. Joe Pavelski, after 18 years, could be at the end of his time in the NHL without a Stanley Cup. However, no matter where he ends up during the next season, Pavelski will always be considered one of the greats.
