The NHL is coming to Utah in the next few months, and with this in mind, management is busy building their team. They have now made their first roster move, notably signing prospect Julian Lutz.

Julian Lutz was selected 43rd overall in the 2nd round of the 2022 NHL draft by the Arizona Coyotes, who officially relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah, earlier this season. The Arizona Coyotes left quite a special prospect pool to build off in Utah, notably featuring players like Dmitri Simashev, Daniil But, Maverick Lamoureux, and Lutz.

The 6 foot 2, 194 pound German left winger will be taking the leap from the USHL straight to the pros, and with the thin lineup expected in Utah for their inaugural season, Lutz may make the leap all the way to the NHL.

This move has led team experts to believe another signing, notably of Artyom Duda, may come soon:

Utah signs 2022 second-round pick Julian Lutz, who is coming off a solid season with the USHL's Green Bay Gamblers.

Wouldn't be surprised if we saw a contract for Artem Duda soon ...

Things are falling into place in the newest NHL city!
