Out of nowhere, the Chicago Blackhawks and New York Islanders have made a massive draft pick trade.
In a very confusing move, the Blackhawks have paid the 61st overall pick just to move up by two spots in the first round and four spots in the second round.
It feels incredibly odd for a draft pick move to happen a month before the actual draft, especially in a class so incredibly wide open where guys are bound to fall.
Whatever the Blackhawks are planning will be interesting to see play out next month in Las Vegas.
TRADE ALERT: #Isles acquire picks #20, #54, and #61 in this year's draft from the #Blackhawks for Picks #18 and #50.
#Isles News: The New York Islanders have acquired a first-round pick (#20) and two second-round picks (#54 and #61) in the 2024 NHL Draft from the Chicago Blackhawks, in exchange for the team's first-round pick (#18) and second-round pick (#50).
