Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand suffered an injury after being sucker punched by Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett. He has now spoken publicly for the first time since his injury.

In an interview with the media today, Boston Bruins star and captain Brad Marchand has broken the silence on being knocked out of the second round by Sam Bennett's sucker punch to his head. Sam Bennett did not receive any supplemental discipline for the scene, despite it shifting the series in favour of the Florida Panthers.

Brad Marchand on Sam Bennett's punch:

«I think he got away with a shot. But I'm not gonna complain. Shit happens. I've been on the other side of a lot of plays. That's part of the game, part of playoff hockey. Sucks to be on the other side of it, but that stuff happens."

We will see if Brad Marchand is able to return to fight back into the series and tie it up at 3-3. The Boston Bruins will need all hands on deck to pull off a series win.
