Carolina Hurricanes ban New York Rangers fans from their arena

New York Rangers fans must feel like they're in a time loop, as they gear up to face the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh for the second round of the NHL playoffs, just like in 2022. Yet if you're not a resident of North Carolina, South Carolina, or certain parts of Virginia, you're out of luck when it comes to buying tickets directly from the Hurricanes' website.

The Canes website reads.

PNC Arena is located in Raleigh, NC. Sales to this event will be restricted to residents of North Carolina, South Carolina and southern parts of Virginia. Residency will be based on credit card billing address. Orders by residents outside North Carolina, South Carolina and southern Virginia will be canceled without notice and refunds given.

So, while the Canes' site still has plenty of tickets available at decent prices (starting at $139), Rangers fans have already snatched up everything from the Blueshirts' end. Yet, if you're desperate to catch a game at PNC Arena, you might have to swallow the pill of resale prices, which are steeper (we're talking a minimum of $473.55 for section 419).

Yet, all hope's not lost. If you're persistent enough, you might get a deal on StubHub or SeatGeek, with some tickets going as low as $126. The expectation in face of this ban is that Blueshirts nation will show up in Carolina loud and proud, turning that barn from red to blue again.
