Former Toronto Maple Leaf turned analyst Jay Rosehill has shared the likely moment where Auston Matthews suffered a potential injury.

Recently, Jay Rosehill shared his thoughts on Auston Matthews being out for the Toronto Maple Leafs and what he thought could be the reason why he is out.

My two cents on Auston Matthews

Had a hard crash into the boards in game 80

Was rattled but played through it.
As he did, symptoms came up and got worse.

They shut him down.
Not messing around with a franchise player

Not confirming this but it makes sense

Here is the video of where Matthews is speculated to have gotten hurt.

This has gotta be where Auston Matthews got hurt , collided with *** Nylander and hits the back of his head on the boards. Looking back could easily be a concussion. Meaningless *** game and now we don't have him for the playoffs

It should be noted that right now everything is speculation but given the caliber of player Matthews is, fans find it hard to believe he is just sick. If he is suffering from a head injury that stemmed from this play, it is certainly malpractice from the Leafs organization to let Matthews play in the final two regular season games to chase 70 goals.
