The Boston Bruins defenseman Andrew Peek is set to miss he remainder of the series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, with a week-to-week injury.

In Monday night's 3-2 Leafs' win, the Bruins lost their 1-0 lead in the series, as well as their very reliable defenseman Andrew Peeke. He blocked a shot from Tyler Bertuzzi with his hand that forced him to leave the ice early to the locker-room.

The coach Jim Montgomery shared an update on his health on Tuesday morning, as the team prepared to fly for Toronto for games three and four.

He said that Peek won't make the journey with his teammates, as he deals with a week-to-week injury.

However, Derek Forbort, who's day-to-day, will make the trip.

"Today, #NHLBruins Jim Montgomery said defenseman Andrew Peeke is considered week-to-week with an injury. Derek Forbort will travel to Toronto with the team. Forbort remains day-to-day."

The Bruins' organization announced that they've called up the 6'5" defenseman Mason Lohrei from the AHL to fill the void left by Peeke.

"BOSTON – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, April 23, that the team has recalled defenseman Mason Lohrei from Providence.

Lohrei, 23, has appeared in 41 games with Boston this season, recording four goals and nine assists for 13 points. The 6-foot-5, 211-pound blueliner has also skated in 21 games with Providence this season, totaling one goal and 15 assists for 16 points. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native was originally selected by Boston in the second round (58th overall) of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft."
