He wasn't supposed to be the starter for the Ottawa Senators in Sunday night's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. But, goaltender Joey Daccord got the call after it was determined Matt Murray wouldn't be able to play due to an injury suffered in warm-ups. Daccord made the best of it, getting his very first NHL win. Following the 4-3 victory, Daccord was interviewed live and became emotional discussing the awesome moment.

"I don't even have words right now," said Daccord. "I just want to thank my family for everything they've done for me - It's pretty special."

It's interesting to note that Daccord's father Brian is a former NHL goaltender who currently works as a goaltending consultant with the Toronto Maple Leafs. His job entails scouting of potential draft and free agent goalies as well as the development of drafted goalies.

Daccord was drafted in the seventh round, 199th overall, by the Senators in 2015.
