Toronto Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe has a lighter wallet today following an outburst at a referee during the team's game against the Winnipeg Jets Saturday night. Keefe was not happy about a penalty against the Leafs in the third period and decided to let the referee have it. Check it out:

Later in the night, the NHL announced Keefe had been fined $25,000 "for comments directed at at NHL referee Graham Skilliter." The fine money goes to the NHL foundation.

Whether there was a specific comment that Keefe made that upset the league, or if it was the tirade in general, is not known. There were certainly some expletives added to Keefe's rant, but it's not easy to tell exactly what he said as his mouth is covered by a mask for a lot of it. There is one part where he says "that happens 50 times a game."

Toronto would lose 5-2 to Winnpeg.
