In a recent Cam & Strick Podcast, Mike Babcock appeared and talked about a past situation regarding Mike Commodore.

Babcock stated in the podcast things like «You gotta be good enough to play» and «He finished seventh, so he's not in the top six, so he is not playing every night.» The former Detroit Red Wings coach did not sugarcoat anything relating to not always putting Commodore in the lineup, and Commodore did not like Babcock's comments at all to say the least.

Commodore sarcastically stated that his former coach did a great job clearing up the situation and then proceeded to go off on Babcock, saying that he has known how Babs felt since 2002 and that he said the exact opposite in the 2011 offseason.

Commodore played in just 17 games with the Red Wings, recording just 2 assists over that span, but then again, he was not exactly a staple in the lineup despite being promised more playing time than he received.

It's fair to say that Mike Commodore is not a very big fan of Babcock, and it will be interesting to see if his former coach has anything to say in response.
