The Blackhawks and Ducks faced off last night in what ended up turning into a very chippy game.

Both Goalies Get Involved In Line shift Brawl Between Blackhawks And Ducks

About halfway through the 3rd period, tensions boiled over and chaos erupted. The scrum started off as a regular event when Blackhawks goaltender Petr Mrazek got involved, suddenly accelerating things.

WE GOT A FULL ON BRAWL IN CHICAGO 😱

MRAZEK AND GIBSON! THE GOALIES ARE IN THE MIX 😳

Once the Blackhawks goalie got involved, ducks goaltender John Gibson dropped the gloves as he crossed center ice to join them. Unfortunatley for the fans, the linesmen prevented the goaltenders from going at each other. It appeared as though they were both willing to fight.

Gibson Ejected For Crossing Center Ice

After all the dust settled, the ducks were forced to put Lukas Dostal in net for the remainder of the game as Gibson was ejected for crossing the center ice line. He was thrust into a tough situation as the Blackhawks also got a powerplay out of it.

John Gibson has been ejected from the game for crossing the center line to engage with Petr Mrazek during a scrum.
Lukas Dostal is now in net for us.

The Blackhawks would go on to score on the powerplay, making it 7-2 and giving Connor Bedard his 5th point of the game, a new career high.
