Sidney Crosby Traded out of Pittsburgh This Summer? He's Been Linked to Two Top Teams

The Penguins are nowhere near a playoff spot this season, for the second straight year. This could be what pushes Crosby out of Pittsburgh.

At 36 years old, the Penguins' captain doesn't have much time left in the NHL and if he wants to win a Stanley Cup, his chances are better elsewhere.

In a new report, we learned that Sidney Crosby has been linked to two top teams.

Indeed, according to a rumor, Crosby could be looking to join either the Toronto Maple Leafs or the Colorado Avalanche, two teams with high Stanley Cup aspirations.

Major Trade Scenario Sends Crosby in Toronto For Mitch Marner

Marner has only a year left on his contract with the Leafs. Considering the massive contracts signed by Auston Matthews and William Nylander, it won't be easy for Treliving to get it done with Marner.

As they look at their options for Marner, a major scenario emerged, where he would be traded one-for-one for Sidney Crosby.

At 25, Marner could play a significant role in Pittsburgh for many years. On the other hand, Crosby would help the Leafs win now, but should be gone in a few seasons.
