Tonight New York Rangers enforcer Matt Rempe is once again in trouble. This time Rempe has been ejected and could face a likely suspension due to his actions.

Rempe Likely Facing Suspension For Vicious Hit

During tonight's rivalry game against the New Jersey Devils, Matt Rempe once again has made news with his brutality. Early in the game he and enforcer Kurtis MacDermid went back and forth.

Eventually, Rempe would lose control of himself. He went for a big hit on Devils defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler and got him with an elbow to the head along the boards.

5 minutes for elbowing and a game misconduct for Matt Rempe.

Kurtis MacDermid would eventually try and go after Rempe to get revenge. As a result of the hit, Rempe was ejected while MacDermid was given a 10-minute misconduct for his actions.

Rempe is thrown out of the game, he gets a game misconduct (among other penalties).

MacDermid gets a 10-minute misconduct.

With this being Rempe's second ejection in just over a month the NHL could send him a message and suspend him. The suspension likely would be a relatively short one just to get him back in line.

As more information is provided on Rempe's impending punishment we will pass it along to you.
